Project
ESCO Industries has been employed to contribute to New South Wales’ largest ever hospital redevelopment, by supplying the new Central Acute Services Building. The Westmead Hospital Precinct Redevelopment is a multi-billion-dollar investment from the state government, aiming to redefine health standards for both New South Wales and Australia.
In December 2017 ESCO was appointed as the supplier of both Medical Service Panels (MSPs) and MediTek Switchgear & Accessories by electrical contractor HeyDay5. With the approval and design processes now complete, August 2018 saw ESCO supply a number of MSPs for the prototype room. During this time, ESCO was also contracted by Hoslab for the supply of Medical Gas Terminal Outlets and Valveboxes.
Our products will populate the 12-storey facility which will feature both an adult and a paediatric emergency department, a National Infectious Diseases Unit, surgical inpatients units, and acute medical imaging services. In addition to the Alphamax Flush Mounted Medical Service Panels, ESCO Industries will supply Wall Mounted General Power Outlets, Residual Current Devices, Light Switches, Data Grids, and Secure General Power Outlets. The CASB alone represents a $460 million construction contract and, by the time of its opening in 2020, will cover over 12,000m2.
The new facility will be nestled amongst the Westmead Hospital and The Children’s Hospital at Westmead, and work to increase the integration between those Hospitals and the University of Sydney.
