Project
The Royal North Shore Hospital CSB (Clinical Services Building) was constructed alongside the PPP redevelopment to integrate better women’s, children’s, burns, and mental health services within the acute services building.
Esco Industries collaborated closely with the user group to design 15 Sigma Duo Pendants and 9 Sigma Elite Column Pendants for the NICU, meeting the specific requirements for treating newborn babies.
The project has delivered 40 maternity beds, 32 neonatal Intensive Care Unit cots, 12 burns beds, and 24 paediatric beds. In addition, 32 beds have been provided for the Mental Health Inpatients Unit, out of which 12 are allocated for the high-dependency unit. Furthermore, the acute services building on Level 9 has been equipped with 60 additional beds, while the Douglas Building has been refurbished to accommodate displaced Level 9 acute services. Finally, an extra 60 beds have been added to the CSB.
