Co-located with the Northern Hospital, Ramsay Health Care’s Northern Private Hospital will deliver extensive medical, surgical and mental health services to the region, currently the last major growth corridor in Victoria without a private hospital.
Specialties available at Northern Private Hospital will include general medicine, vascular surgery, cardiology, orthopaedics, plastics, ENT, gynaecology, oncology, haematology, ophthalmology and more.
The first stage of Northern Private Hospital will feature 75 beds including four beds for high dependency patients and six in the critical care unit, four theatres and a cardiac catheter laboratory.
The Northern Private Hospital will open in two stages, with the first stage to be completed in 2024 and the second stage forecast to open in 2027. There will be construction of a link bridge to connect Northern Private with the public Northern Hospital for ease of access between the two facilities.
The new community will include a seven hectare health, wellness and knowledge precinct as well as residential, commercial and retail facilities with over 11 hectares of open space connected to Edgars Creek.
