Project

The $61.4 million redevelopment project, which includes a $15 million contribution from BHP Iron Ore (BHP), will provide Newman and the surrounding communities with a modern, fit-for-purpose facility delivering care closer to home and on Country.

When complete, the new facility will include twelve inpatient beds, six emergency department bays, two dental chairs, six GP consult spaces, and dedicated rooms for outpatient consults, therapy, medical imaging and pathology.

The redevelopment will also facilitate access to Telehealth services and videoconferencing technology to connect staff and patients to specialists across Western Australia.
