The Canberra Hospital expansion will include a new Critical Services Building at the existing hospital campus in Woden.
The nearly 40,000sqm new facility will enable a bigger, better Canberra Hospital to meet the needs of our growing city and region. It is the largest healthcare infrastructure commitment ever undertaken by the ACT Government.
The new building will include more operating rooms, more treatment spaces and more intensive care beds to expand the overall capacity of the Canberra Hospital.
Construction of the new facility began in 2021, and is expected to be completed in 2024.
