Project
Ipswich Hospital is the largest hospital in West Moreton and provides specialised services for the people of Ipswich and beyond. Work is well underway to expand the Ipswich Hospital making it easier for the growing West Moreton community to get the healthcare they need, closer to home.
ARCH and a design team of 30+ subconsultants across multiple disciplines are working on the hospital’s expansion, which has also involved the Queensland Government Architects, Ipswich City Council Urban Designers and the Queensland Urban Design and Places Panel.
The Ipswich Hospital Expansion Stage Two is expected to deliver:
- 200 new beds
- a new purpose-built acute clinical service building
- a new Emergency Department
- six additional operating theatres
- satellite medical imaging service, and
- a new Central Sterilisation Service Department.
